Civilians to get education at command hospital
LUCKNOW: As many as 18 civilians will be able to pursue post graduation in medical education from Lucknow's Command Hospital. Seats for the same would be allotted during the second counselling session of UP post graduate medical entrance examination's second counselling starting May 27. "Medical education department has initiated the move after the armed forces medical wing failed to provide students against the allotted seats. Such sheer wastage of resources in a state like UP where there is dearth of specialist doctors cannot be tolerated. Hence, this mid-way was taken," said KC Rastogi, additional director, medical education department. The rider in the offer is that candidates opting for medical seats in Command Hospital will not be given any stipend the way their counterparts in the state medical colleges get.
