Youth Parliament Competition winners awarded
New Delhi: Winners of the 42nd Youth Parliament Competition, 2007-2008 for the schools under the Directorate of Education , Government of Delhi and NDMC were awarded today at a function held in the capital. Students from the Government R.N. Thakur, Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya (East Vinod Nagar), Delhi bagged the first prize. The winning team also presented a short sitting of the 'Youth Parliament'.Pawan Kumar Bansal, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs & Finance, presided over the function and gave away the prizes to the winners. In his remarks, Bansal said, "Students have depicted the functioning of Parliament in its right perspective.
