Kerala to invest Rs.2,000 cr on IT infrastructure
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala will invest about Rs.2,000 crore in two years to develop IT infrastructure to make the state India's "most sought-after tier II destination for IT", Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan said on Thursday. "Our objective is to make Kerala the most sought-after Tier II destination in the country, and for this we are investing nearly Rs.2,000 crore during 2009-11 for development of infrastructure," said Achuthanandan. Delivering his inaugural address at the India IT Summit 2009 near here at Kovalam, the Chief Minister said, "Given the comparative advantages of the state, we feel the next decade of India's IT industry would be Kerala's."
