UPSC announces CPF Assistant Commandant Exam 2008 results
New Delhi: New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Central Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2008. A total of 325 candidates have been recommended for appointment which include 145 General, 113 Other Backward Classes, 48 Scheduled Castes and 19 Scheduled Tribes candidates. Appointment to various services i.e. Border Security Force; Central Reserve Police Force; Indo-Tibetan Border Police; Sashastra Seema Bal will be made according to number of vacancies available and due consideration to the provisions contained in the Rules for the Examination. The number of vacancies reported for Border Security Force is 35 (19 General, 09 Other backward Classes, 05 Scheduled Castes and 02 Scheduled Tribes); for the Central Reserve Police Force is 225 (114 General, 71 Other backward Classes, 27 Scheduled Castes and 13 Scheduled Tribes); for the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force is 40 (23 General, 13 Other Backward Classes, 0...
