Now, entrance exam must for Ph.D aspirants
Jodhpur: From now on, appearing for pre Ph.D test is must for those who wish to pursue Ph.D. The issue of conducting the entrance examination is been taken into consideration after the logistics department requested for the same. From the coming academic session, Pre Ph.D test will also begin at esteemed Jai Narain Vyas University (JNVU). As per the new guidelines, entrance exam is now necessary for all Ph.D aspirants. The University Grants Commission (UGC) had directed that after July 2009 no student should be admitted to M.Phil or PH.D programme who fails to appear for Pre-Ph.D test. Many universities failed to follow the recommendations as registeration process of 412 candidates were carried on without fail.
