North Gujarat university, US university join hands
Patan (Gujarat): For students of north Gujarat, going to the US for further studies will be easier as a university here on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with an American university for academic collaboration. K.K. Shah, vice-chancellor of the Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University (HNGU), and Brian U. Adler, vice president for academic affairs at Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) signed the MoU at the Rang Bhavan hall at the HNGU campus, 130 km from Ahmedabad. "Just imparting information is not education in real sense. It needs to be combined in an everlasting process that is noble and spiritually sublime," Adler said quoting Mahatma Gandhi and Rabindranath Tagore while addressing the gathering. "The MoU will open the door for HNGU student at GSW. Henceforth, students of this university will also be getting American visas in large numbers," he said.
