AMMI to conduct entrance test
Aspirants of MBA institutes in the state and who had missed out the centralised admission process (CAP) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) or had not succeeded to clear it will now get another chance. The Association of Management of MBA/MMS Institutes (AMMI) will conduct a common entrance test — AMMI-MBA/ MMS - CET-2011 for students seeking admissions for MBA/MMS courses in management institutes affiliated to universities in the state and approved by AICTE and the state government. Of the 350-odd MBA institutes in the state, 230 are members of the association. Eknath Balasaheb Khedkar, executive president, AMMI said, “We have decided to conduct three CETs this year as the All-India Council For Technical Education (AICTE) at times gives recognition to institutes late. Thus, if there are still vacancies after the first exam, we will conduct two more exams.
