IGNOU releases calendar for the year 2009-10
New Delhi: The Staff Training and Research Institute of Distance Education (STRIDE) of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has brought out its calendar for the academic year 2009-10. The various organizations - government and semi-government, private, partner institutes that want their staff to be trained will now be able to apply for their turn for teachers' training at IGNOU. The calendar covers wide range of training schedules in various disciplines. The training programmes are short-term and of various types of academic, technical, professional, non-academic and administrative domains. STRIDE is an IGNOU wing, which aims to develop capacities among resource persons engaged in the Open and Distance Learning pedagogy. Training of teachers being the key to assure quality education in Open and Distance Learning mode of pedagogy, STRIDE conducts various training programmes for faculty, administrative and support staff engaged in the ODL in India and abroad.
