Mysore University gets new Vice Chancellor
Bangalore: Professor of Library and Information Science at the University of Mysore , V.G. Talawar, has been appointed the new Vice-Chancellor of the varsity. Governor and Chancellor of the University, Rameshwar Thakur, confirmed his appointment for a period of four years with effect from the date of assumption of office or till he attains the age of 65 years. The University of Mysore has been without a vice-chancellor since October 2007 when the then Vice-Chancellor J. Shashidhara Prasad expired.
