NEW DELHI – KHORANA PROGRAM ADMISSION FOR SCHOLARS – UW MADISON NEW DELHI – KHORANA PROGRAM ADMISSION FOR SCHOLARS – UW MADISON Introduction: The University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW), the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India and Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) are partnering to support the prestigious Khorana Program for Scholars named in honor of Dr. Har Gobind Khorana, who won the Nobel Prize in 1968 for his work at the interface of chemistry and biology while a member of the UW faculty. The program will pay all expenses for 15 Indian students to travel to UW-Madison to engage in a hands-on research project. Indian students will be matched with a UW-Madison faculty member based on what type of project they would like to work on. This is an excellent opportunity to apply lab skills in an independent environment. At the end of the program, students will present their projects at a symposium.
