Over 50% clear BA-I exams of AU
ALLAHABAD: The Allahabad University has announced the results of BA-I, wherein just over half ie 57% of the total number of appeared students, managed to clear the examination in their first attempt. Of the total 10,165 students, 5,812 were declared pass in their year ending exam. Detailing on the results, varsity controller of examinations (COE) Prof H S Upadhayay said that 4,353 candidates failed to clear the exams, while 786 opted not to give the exams. Result of 63 students has been shown as not ready by the varsity authority. Out of these who appeared in the said exam, 1661 (over 16%) have failed while 113 have been caught for using unfair means. Apart from this, 1730, which is 17% of the total number of appeared students, are eligible for the second examination, said the controller.
