Admission to colleges now just a click
BHUBANESWAR: Now that the results of the board examinations (both Class X and Class XII finals) are out, the admission season has begun. However, unlike previous years, students are not dying of anxiety in their bid to secure admission to the best possible college; neither are campuses across the state witnessing a frenzied rush this year. The reason: the e-admission process started by the state government for both degree and Plus II courses. The introduction of the online admission system has eliminated the need to stand in long, unending queues from dawn till dusk, filling in application forms and getting documents attested. Neither do students now have to go from one college to another, as they can apply to several colleges via one online form. Through e-admission, at least 3.5 lakh students are likely to take admission to Plus II and degree courses in different colleges across the state.
