CBSE can declare AIEEE results: HC
NEW DELHI, May 18, DHNS The Delhi High Court on Wednesday gave green signal to the CBSE to declare the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) results by refusing a plea for stay on it. The AIEEE was held on two dates -- May 1 and May 11 -- following the paper leakage, and rescheduling only for those candidates who missed it due to clash of time with Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) entrance test. “Nearly 10 lakh students have appeared for the exam. We are not going to stay the publication of the result,” the Court said. “We are more concerned about why the leakage (of question paper) took place. Why should such a thing happen? You are only on a micro issue of rescheduling the examination,” the Court asked. The Court, meanwhile, issued notice to National Law University on a petition alleging that rescheduling of the AIEEE had led to a number of candidates missing the law entrance examination.
