Jaipur: Nearly 7,000 students belonging to low-income families in the state's rural areas will get coaching for various engineering entrance exams through SATCOM, starting June 1. Students will be studying physics, chemistry and mathematics from senior professors at panchayat and district headquarters. The Department of Science and Technology plan has already got a budget sanctioned for Rs 90.80 lakhs for the projects. One class for each subject will be held every day. A website is also being developed that will allow students to clear their queries and receive replies. "This will not be a boring classroom. We are developing a studio that will resemble a proper classroom to engage students in teachings," said principal secretary, department of science and technology, Rakesh Verma, who himself will take physics classes.
