New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy Examination (I) 2009 on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 41 centres across the country. As per information received from the UPSC, admission certificates to the admitted candidates have been dispatched. Similarly, letters of rejection to the applicants who did not comply with various essential conditions of the examination have also been issued. "If any applicant has not received any one of the above-mentioned communications, he may contact UPSC Facilitation Counter on Telephone Nos.011-23381125, 011-23385271 and 011-23098543 between 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on all working days", the UPSC said. The candidates can also send FAX Messages on Telephone No.011-23387310. Information regarding venues of the examination is also available at the Commission's website at http://www.upsc.gov.in.

Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1991 and not later than 1st January, 1994 are eligible. The minimum educational qualification for Army Wing of National Defence Academy is 12th Class pass of 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. For Air and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for 10+2 (Executive Branch) course of Naval Academy, 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent examination with physics and mathematics, conducted by a State Education Board or a University is required.
