FM station launches radio-training school
Mumbai: Keeping pace with the growing desire of youngsters to take up radio jockeying and production as a profession, private FM station Radio City 91.1FM launched Radio City School of Broadcasting here on Tuesday. "We aim to provide students a 'real time real world' radio experience. The involvement of our team and senior management will ensure that students are mentored through a robust radio-training programme," said Apurva Purohit, CEO of Radio City 91.1FM and chairperson of the school of broadcasting. "The idea is to create world-class radio professionals with hands-on radio experience who are industry-ready," added Purohit. The school is an autonomous educational unit, instituted by Music Broadcast Private Limited (MBPL), which owns and operates Radio City 91.1FM.
