UPSC to hold IES, ISS exams on December 4
New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS) examination from December 4, 2010 for recruitment to Grade IV of the Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service. The examination will be held at various centers across the country. "The minimum age for candidates who can apply is 21 years and the maximum 30 years as on January 1, 2010. The upper age limit is relaxable for Scheduled Casts (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), physically handicapped and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice," an official press release said on Monday. The release added that "a candidate for the Indian Economic Service must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in one of the fields, namely, Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics, Econometrics."
