NAAC team on visit to Gulbarga University from January 27
Gulbarga: A five-member team from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), under the chairmanship of S.P. Thyagarajan, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Madras, will be on visit to Gulbarga University for four days. The team will visit the varsity from January 27, 2009 for assessment of facilities and re-accreditation of the university. V. Kunhikrishnan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Kannur University; G. Haragopal of the University of Hyderabad; N.V. Narasimham, Director of the School of Management Studies, IGNOU; and Satya P. Gautam from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) are among others comprising the team. "The university will be awarded a grade according to the parameters set by NAAC after visiting various departments, inspecting facilities and holding interactions with heads of departments and principals of the university-affiliated colleges during their four-day visit", said Prof. B.G.
