Clash of exam dates force students to make hard choices
Kanpur: Beside the UPPSC exam, four more entrance tests were held on Sunday for which thousands of aspirants reached the city. These four entrance exams were - Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), SSC Graduate-Level Exam, National Eligibility Test (NET) and entrance test for selection as probationary officers in Punjab National Bank. As per the data available with the district administration, 37,000 students had to appear in CTET, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). A total of 48 centres had been made for CTET in the city. The students who took the exam gave mixed reactions. A few said that the exam was tough, while others were of the view that this year, the questions asked were easy than the last year paper. The CTET was held in two shifts - from 9.30 am to 11 am and from 12.30 pm to 2 pm. Tight security arrangements were in place for the smooth conduct of the exam.
