New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the All India Engineering Entrance Test (AIEEE) - 2011 will be conducted on May 1, 2011. The test is conducted by the CBSE for ad mission to degree level courses in Engineering and Architecture in National Institute of Technologies (NITs), the Indian Institutes of Information Technologies (IIITs), centrally funded institutions, deemed universities and institutions in states and union territories, excluding the ones covered by the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). The minimum academic qualification for appearing in AIEEE-2011 is that the candidate must have passed the final examination of Class XII or its equivalent qualifying examination with 50% marks for general category candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PH category candidates.
