Major relaxation in MBA eligibility at IGNOU
New Delhi: Here is good news for those willing to pursue their MBA and Post Graduate Diplomas in Management from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), as the university has removed the essential eligibility criteria of three years work experience in the relevant field. The announcement was made by Prof. V.N. Rajasekharan Pillai, Vice Chancellor of the varsity. Now, fresh graduates with 50 percent and 45 percent marks for general and reserved category respectively are applicable to appear for the OPENMAT conducted by IGNOU. "The essential clause of 3 years experience in Supervisory and Managerial category for graduates has been removed. Even those graduates who have successfully cleared the entrance test for admission into the Management programmes conducted by recognized institutions like CAT, MAT and state level tests conducted by State Government etc. need not sit for the OPENMAT", Prof. Pillai said.
