IGNOU inks pact with CISF to offer degree
New Delhi, June 3 : The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) seeking to confer educational qualifications to 1.3 lakh personnel through its community colleges for grant of B.Sc. / M.Sc. (Security Operations). The MoU was signed by U.S. Tolia, Registrar, IGNOU and Mr. H.V. Chaturvedi, Inspector General, CISF headquarters of Ministry of Home. According to the MoU, the CISF personnel possessing intermediate degree shall be eligible to enroll for Bachelors Degree Program in Security Operations from IGNOU consisting of 96 credits with 32 credits on successful completion of basic training at National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) / Regional Training Centers (RTCs) and 64 credits to be earned in second and third year.
