ICFAI plans to setup more campuses

New Delhi: The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) and ICFAI Business School (IBS) are planning to set up nine new ICFAI universities and two more campuses across the country by the end of 2009-10.

Presently ICFAI has nineteen campuses and six universities in the country.

K.V. Iyer, ICFAI International Division-Head said, "We are planning to establish ICFAI University in each and every state of the country and to widen our network both domestically and internationally. We plan to set up two more ICFAI campuses and nine more universities by 2009-2010 in India."

"The institute is not mulling any fee hike at present", added Iyer.

Simultaneously, ICFAI is also expanding its international network by establishing six international campuses.

Four international campuses in Adelaide (Australia), Luton (UK), Neuchatel (Switzerland) and Ras Al Khaimah (UAE) have recently been inaugurated by IBS International, the international arm of IBS.

It plans to set up similar IBS International campuses in Europe, America, Australia and three more countries by the end of 2010.

"Although the current recession has had an impact on the placements in top B-schools of India and IIMs, the placement scenario in IBS campuses across the country has been maintained almost at last year's level", further said Iyer.
