1,014 students apply to vet varsity

Only 106 seats available for GADVASU courses

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana conducted the Common Entrance Test 2011 for BVSc and AH (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry), BFSc (Bachelor of Fisheries Science) and BTech (Dairy Technology) at R S Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, near Model Town and College of Veterinary Science, GADVASU. Dr S P S Sangha, Controller of Examination, informed that 1,014 candidates appeared for the exam including 660 boys and 354 girls.

The exam was for 106 seats available in different categories. Dr P D Juyal, Registrar of GADVASU, revealed that there are 61 seats for BVSc and AH, 19 seats for BFSc and 26 seats for Btech.

The CET-GADVASU result will be declared in two to three days and will be available on the university website: www.gadvasu.in as well as on the university notice boards. The counselling for BVSc and AH and BFSc will be held on 28th June. Counselling on BTech will be held on June 29. Dr V K Gandotra, head of Veterinary Gynaecology was the coordinator of the test.
