BANGALORE – FPM ADMISSION 2010 – INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT

FPM is the doctoral programme of IIMB. It prepares researchers for academia in all areas of business management and public policy, with specialisations in the areas of (1) Corporate Strategy & Policy (2) Economics & Social Sciences (3) Marketing (4) Organisational Behaviour & Human Resource Management (5) Finance & Control (6) Production & Operations Management (7) Quantitative Methods & Information Systems (8) Public Policy & Public Systems.

Eligibility: Candidates should have
A Master’s Degree in any discipline, (10+2+3+2 pattern) with at least 55 percent aggregate marks. (OR)

A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS, with at least 55 percent aggregate marks . (OR)

A 4 year / 8 – semester Bachelor’s degree (10+2+4 pattern) with at least 60 percent aggregate marks.
Duration: There is no stipulated minimum duration for the programme. Some students have finished the program within 4 years in the past. The Institute provides financial support only upto five years. The maximum permitted period is 7 years.

Selection Procedure: Suitable candidates will be called to Bangalore for a Research Aptitude Test (RAT) and interview for final selection. Selection will be based on applicant’s performance in CAT/ GRE/ /GMAT/GATE/JRF/SRF/NET as applicable, past academic performance, work experience, and aptitude for research.

Deadline: Last date for receipt of request for the application form by post is February 5, 2010.
