Regional Institute of Vocational Education and Training (RIVET) is a recent initiative of IGNOU for widespread implementation of VETprogrammes, especially for the BPL youths in the remote/rural areas of the country. To make this possible, RIVET has entered into an MOA with SREI-SAHAJ e-Governance Ltd., a Kolkata (SAHAJ) based firm with an agency of 27000+Common Service Centres (CSC). Issued by D.O.I., GOI, the CSCs aim at taking education to the gram panchyat level in all parts of the county.
