Haryana announces scholarships for underprivileged

Chandigarh: The Haryana Government has announced a scholarship programme for students belonging to backward classes and to families living below the poverty line.

It was announced by Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister of Haryana.

So far, the scheme includes students belonging to only the Scheduled Castes (SC) only.

Announcing the programme, Mr. Hooda said, "We have announced this scholarship programme to ensure education for all children from the poor and weaker sections of the society."
