Veer Singh takes over as NALSAR vice-chancellor

Chandigarh: Veer Singh, professor emeritus from the department of law of the Panjab University, on Monday took over as vice-chancellor of the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University (NALSAR), Hyderabad.A notification to this effect was issued by the NALSAR University registrar and was received by Panjab University here.The notification stated: "The chief justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court and chancellor of NALSAR University of law, Hyderabad, has appointed Prof. Veer Singh as vice-chancellor of the university for a term of five years with effect from July 21." Veer Singh joined Panjab University in 1970 and has held many prominent positions including dean of university instruction and chairperson, department of law. He was also director of the National Law Institute, Kurukshetra University and director of the army law school, Mohali. IANS.
