CLAT (Common Law Admission Test)-2013
Only Indian nationals/NRIs are allowed to appear in the CLAT-2013
Foreign nationals are not permitted to appear in CLAT- 2013
The foreign nationals desirous of taking admission to any course in any of the participating Law Universities may directly contact the concerned university having seats for foreign nationals

CLAT 2013 Eligibility
Under Graduate Courses: To be eligible to appear in CLAT-2013, a candidate should have obtained a Senior Secondary School/Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent certificate from a recognised board with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST candidates)
Candidates who are appearing or have appeared in the 10+2 examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test
However, such candidates are required to have passed the qualifying examination at the time of their admission and must be able to submit proofs in support of their claims
Age: Below 20 years of age as on 01st July, 2013 (22 years in case of SC/ST candidates)
Post Graduate Courses: To be eligible for appearing in CLAT-2013, a candidate should have obtained a LL.B/B.L. degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized university with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST candidates)
The candidates who have passed the qualifying degree examination through supplementary/ compartment and repeat attempts are also eligible for appearing in the test and taking admission provided that such candidates will have to produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination with 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST candidates), as the case may be, on the date of their admission or within the time allowed by the respective universities
The candidates who are appearing or have appeared in the qualifying degree examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test
The candidate must have passed/appeared in the final semester/final year examination of the qualifying examination on the date of his/her admission
Such candidates will be provided provisional admission only and they will have to submit their final results of qualifying examination within the timeframe prescribed by the respective universities/institutes
CLAT 2013 Admission Procedure
Under Graduate Courses: The basic principle of admission to under graduate courses through CLAT merit-cum-preference
The university wise preferences obtained from the candidates through OMR application form and their CLAT score and rank will be taken into consideration to prepare the first provisional allotment list based on merit-cum-preference and the same will be made available to the respective participating universities/institutes
The university-wise provisional allotment list will be published along with the declaration of the result itself and the candidates will be asked to deposit an adjustable amount of Rs 50,000/- with the CLAT office so as to reserve the seats allotted to them in a particular university/institute
Post Graduate Courses: The admissions to post graduate courses through CLAT-2013 will be done in a centralized manner from the CLAT office at Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur (Chhattisgarh), by allotting seats based on the merit and preference of the candidates furnished in the OMR application form
Application Form: Printed OMR application forms along with the CLAT-2013 information brochure will be made available at the designated branches of the State Bank of India and in all the participating NLUs against payment of Rs 3000/- (Rs 2500/- in case of SC/ST candidates on submission of proof) excluding the bank charges
For purchasing application form from the designated branches of SBI, fees can be paid through challan under the Power Jyoti scheme of SBI
For purchasing application form from the participating NLUs, the candidates can make payment either through cash or demand draft drawn in favour of the registrars of the concerned NLUs to be payable at the respective cities of their location
Application form and CLAT-2013 information brochure can also be procured through registered/speed post by sending a requisition letter (with father’s name, contact numbers, detail mailing address and Pin Code) to the Convener, CLAT-2013, Hidayatullah National Law University, Post-Uparwara, Abhanpur, New Raipur-493661, Chhattisgarh along with a demand draft of Rs 3100/- (Rs 2600/- in case of SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of Registrar, HNLU-CLAT 2013 A/c to be payable at Raipur (Chhattisgarh)

The online payment for applying for CLAT-2013 can be made through net-banking/debit card/credit card
In case of online application, the candidates will have to bear the additional transaction costs for remitting the fees online through payment gateways
Application Submission: Duly filled in OMR application form along with a copy of the bank challan/cash receipt/demand draft can be submitted to the Convener, CLAT-2013, either in person from 10.00 a.m. to 05.00 p.m. on all working days or through registered/speed post so as to reach the Convener, Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)-2013, Hidayatullah National Law University, Post-Uparwara, Abhanpur, New Raipur-493661, Chhattisgarh on or before 30th March, 2013, 05,00 p.m.
