B.Ed Admission-2013

Admission to B.Ed (2 years) for January-2013 to December, 2014
Approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and Distance Education Council (DEC), New Delhi
Eligibility: Undergraduate with B.Lit / B.Com / B.A. in Tamil / History / English / Geography / Applied Geography, B.Sc in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry / Botany / Zoology / Computer Science / Applied Physics / Electronics / Geo Physics / Bio Physics / Applied Chemistry / Bio Chemistry / Environmental Science / Micro Biology / Plant Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Applications / Information Technology
PG qualification will be considered in the case of Economics / Psychology / Sociology / Political Science / Social Work / Logic / Indian Culture and Home Science subjects
10+2+3 or 11+1+3 or 10th standard with two years of secondary grade teacher training with the above undergraduate qualification are also eligible
In accordance with NCTE norms, regular teacher working in Nursing, Primary, Middle, Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools in Tamil Nadu, recognized by State/Central Govt with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience is alone eligible
Candidates having cross major subjects in PG are not eligible
Candidates having a direct undergraduate degree (without +2 qualification), and candidates having a direct PG degree (without UG degree) are not eligible
Application Form: Application form along with prospectus can be obtained in person from the office of admission, SASTRA campus (Thanjavur and Kumbakonam) on payment of Rs 600/- or by post or by downloading the application form from the website www.sastra.edu on payment of Rs 650/- by demand draft favouring SASTRA University payable at Thanjavur
Last date for receipt of completed application forms is 17th January, 2013, 05.00 p.m.
