Admission Notice-2012

Application on prescribed form are invited for admission to following courses

Post Graduate Diploma in Accommodation Operation and Management

Diploma in Food Production
Diploma in Food and Beverage Service

Eligibility

PG Diploma in Accommodation Operation and Management: The minimum qualification for admission is Graduation in any stream from a recognize University
Diploma in Food Production, Food and Beverage Service: The minimum qualification for admission is 10+2 system of Senior Secondary Education or its equivalent with English as one of the compulsory subject
Age Limit: 25 years as on 01st July, 2012
Age is relaxable by 3 years in case of SC/BC applicants
How to apply: Information brochure cum application form is available from the office of Principal, Institute of Hotel Management, Kurukshetra on payment of Rs 300/- in person
Application form can also be downloaded from the website www.ihmkkr.com
Those who have downloaded application form must accompany the same with demand draft of Rs 350/-, drawn in favour of Institute of Hotel Management, payable at Kurukshetra
Complete application form should reach to Principal, Institute of Hotel Management, Jyotisar, Kurukshetra-136119, by 09th July, 2012, Monday
Selection Process: Candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements shall be eligible for appearing the in the counseling as per the counseling schedule
The admission will be granted purely on the basis of marks obtained in 12th class examination
Admission in PG Diploma course will be granted purely on the merit of aggregate marks obtained in graduation
Counseling: Interviews will be held at Institute of Hotel Management, Jyotisar, Kurukshetra
Diploma Course in Food Production: 11th July, 2012, Wednesday, 09.00 a.m.
Diploma Course in Food and Beverage Service: 11th July, 2012, Wednesday, 02.00 p.m.
Post Graduate Diploma in Accommodation Operation and Management: 12th July, 2012, Thursday, 09.30 a.m.
Admission: Candidates who are finally selected as per the prescribed procedure will be admitted on payment of the first term fee immediately on declaration of selection list failing which their selection will stand cancelled
Admission will be on first come first basis
Last date for submission of application form: 09th July, 2012, Monday

Hope and jobs for students at Delhi University's job fair

New Delhi: At a time jobs are becoming scarce and pink slips the order of the day with the global meltdown, there is reason to cheer. Delhi University's newly-launched Central Placement Cell has provided jobs to at least 200 undergraduate students with major companies, including IT major Wipro, pharma giant Ranbaxy and BPO major Genpact. The first phase of recruitment took place between Dec 8 and 10 in which around 154 students got employment. The second phase, which began Jan 21 and ended on Tuesday, ensured jobs to 45 applicants, while 440 short-listed students are awaiting results of their applications. "Around 4,564 students from 48 colleges participated in this job fair in which around 200 students have been ensured good position in top companies. The response of the students was good," Seema M.
