B.Tech/M.Tech Integrated Dual Degree Course Admission-2012

Centre for Converging Technologies Entrance Test (CCTET-2012)

An exciting opportunity for XII pass Science (Bio/Maths) students, who are passionate about innovation and looking for an opportunity in learning rapidly developing NBIC technologies
Applications are invited for admission to 5 year (ten semesters) Integrated Dual Degree B.Tech/M.Tech course for academic session 2012-13 in the four streams of converging technologies
B.Tech/M.Tech Integrated Dual Degree Course: Nanotechnology, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Information and Communication Technology, Cognitive and Neuroscience
The innovative course has been designed to train students to pursue research and development activities in NBIC technologies
Seats: 120+18 NRI seats
Entrance Test Fee: Rs 1000/-
Entrance test date: 22nd June, 2012 at Jaipur only
How to apply: Only application form and other details are available on universities website
Eligibility: Admissions will be made purely on the basis of merit in the entrance test CCTET-2012 in respective reservation categories
To be eligible for entrance test and admission to the first semester of the five year (ten Semesters) Integrated Dual Degree Master’s Programme in the four streams of Converging Technologies, the candidate should have passed the XII (10+2) with science subjects (both Mathematics and Biology group students are eligible)
Students who are appearing for XII examination in 2012 are also eligible to appear in CCTET-2012
However, their eligibility for admission is subjected to fulfilling the requirement of passing XII examination
NRI: NRI quota students are exempted from the test
They should send application form on a plain paper with NRI/NRI sponsoring certificate, a demand draft of Rs 5,000/- in favor of Director, Centre for Converging Technologies and payable at Jaipur as application processing fee
The NRI students will be charged five times the regular student fee and the seat can not be converted into Non-NRI in any situation
Admission Procedure: Admission to the five year (ten semesters) Integrated Course Master of Technology in the four streams of Converging Technologies will be made through an All India Entrance Examination (CCTET-2012) to be conducted by the University of Rajasthan
CCTET: CCTET-2012 will be of total 3 hrs duration (without break)
The test will comprise of multiple choice questions with choice of four answers, only one being the correct answer
Each correct answer fetches three marks and each wrong answer will carry one negative mark
Multiple answers will be treated as wrong answer
The test paper will comprise of four sections each containing 50 questions
The syllabi of sections (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology) are available on the website

Last date for on line submission of application form: 12th June, 2012, Tuesday
Last date for submission of hard copy of application form: 15th June, 2012, Friday upto 04.30 p.m.
Date of examination: 22nd June, 2012, Friday, 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.
Date of declaration of result: 24th June, 2012, Sunday
Date of counseling of candidates of all categories for allotment of seats: 27th June, 2012, Wednesday
Date of university application form submission with other fees payable: 30th June, 2012, Saturday
First semester commences: 02nd July, 2012, Monday
