Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to various postgraduate Medical and Dental courses for the academic year 2012-13

Selection will be made strictly on the merit based on marks secured in JSSU PGET-2012 and counseling by JSS University, Mysore

JSS Medical College, Mysore

MD: Radio-Diagnosis, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Anaesthesiology, Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy (Skin and STD), Psychiatry, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, Forensic Medicine

MS: General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Anatomy

Diploma: DMRD, DGO, DCP, DCH, D.Ortho, DA, DLO, DDVL, DO, DPM

Eligibility: MBBS degree and completion of internship on or before 30th April, 2012

JSS Dental College, Mysore

MDS: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Radiology, Periodontology, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge, Public Health Dentistry, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics

Diploma: Periodontology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge

Eligibility: BDS degree and completion of internship on or before 30th April, 2012

Application forms will be issued from: 18th November, 2011, Friday

Last date for receipt of filled in application forms: 06th January, 2012, 5.00 p.m., Friday

Date of entrance examination: 04th February, 2012, Saturday

Exam centres: Mysore, Bangalore, Chennai, Noida (Uttar Pradesh)

Prospectus and application form for entrance examination may be obtained either by downloading from the website www.jssuni.edu.in or from the registrar on requisition with a demand draft of Rs 3,000/- (Rs three thousand only) drawn in favour of JSS University Fee Account, Mysore, payable at Mysore and submitted at University office

Hope and jobs for students at Delhi University's job fair

New Delhi: At a time jobs are becoming scarce and pink slips the order of the day with the global meltdown, there is reason to cheer. Delhi University's newly-launched Central Placement Cell has provided jobs to at least 200 undergraduate students with major companies, including IT major Wipro, pharma giant Ranbaxy and BPO major Genpact. The first phase of recruitment took place between Dec 8 and 10 in which around 154 students got employment. The second phase, which began Jan 21 and ended on Tuesday, ensured jobs to 45 applicants, while 440 short-listed students are awaiting results of their applications. "Around 4,564 students from 48 colleges participated in this job fair in which around 200 students have been ensured good position in top companies. The response of the students was good," Seema M.
