Asian School of Business (ASB) has secured approval of the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for its two-year, full-time post graduate programme in management (PGPM).
The batch for 2011-12 will starts on December 14th, 2011, and will have intake of 120 students, a spokesman for ASB said here.
The institution offers cutting-edge curriculum designed and delivered by an outstanding mix of academics, resident and visiting faculty, and professionals from within and outside the country.
Most of the faculty are alumni of IIM-Ahmadabad, and have many years of professional experience. The Director-designate is an alumnus of Stanford Business School.
ASB is governed by a group of accomplished professionals and academics. It seeks to create a new class of leaders for the coming Asian century and the approval by AICTE reflects its mission and vision, said Prof S. Rajeev, the Director-Designate. “We are equipping the students to deal with the challenges of entrepreneurship and of rural markets in emerging Asia.
“With the new accreditation, ASB will be redoubling its efforts to establish itself as one of India's top business schools,” he added.
The approval comes as a right recognition to the efforts aimed at grooming future leaders with hands-on experience in the field of business.
The ASB curriculum will help it emerge as a leading centre of excellence in the country, according to Mr G. Vijaya Raghavan, member of the Governing Board and the founder chief executive officer of Technopark-Thiruvananthapuram.
