GATE 2012

Graduate Engineers looking for jobs in Public Sector Undertakings (BHEL, NTPC, IOCL) need not sit for seperate written test for recruitment in PSUs as now the Public Sector Undertakings will use GATE 2012 scores for screening the candidates for further recruitment process (PI and GDs)

Upto 2011, GATE was only an eligibility examination for students to do Post Graduation (MTech/M.Sc) in Engineering/Technology with MHRD and other Fellowships/ Scholarships. However, from 2012, it is going to be a score that is going to be used to short list applicants for selection of Graduate Engineer trainees in several organizations. These undertakings include BHEL, NTPC and Indian Oil.
