Qualitative change in education required’

PATNA: On the second day of the three-day seminar on education at Krishna Vihar premises here on Monday, various issues and problems related to education were discussed and their solutions suggested.

The seminar, organized by Acharya Sudarshan Foundation, was jointly inaugurated by SN Guha, VC, Aryabhatta Knowledge University, and SP Singh, principal, Patna Central School, who is also managing trustee of Acharya Sudarshan Foundation.

Speaking on this occasion, Guha said: "Our society neglects old people. Instead, the new generation should try to gain from their experience and guidance. He said, "Qualitative development can be brought by bringing a change in academic and teaching methods."

S P Singh said, "Education should cover social, cultural and political issues and challenges." According to him, children are symbols of independent consciousness and have their own separate genius and inner stamina.

Anita Singh, principal of Shri Krishna Niketan, said, "Teachers are expert guardians as their life is totally dedicated to their profession."

About 650 delegates, including principals, teachers and non-teaching employees, participated in the seminar.
