Medical entrance test in Chhattisgarh cancelled
The Pre-medical Test (PMT), held on May 11 for admission in Chhattisgarh’s medical colleges, has been cancelled, officials said today.
The PMT has been annulled as its questions matched with those asked in recent Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (PSC) exam papers, a Chhattisgarh Professional Education Board official said.
Some PMT questions were lifted straight out of the PSC papers and their answers are available on the Internet, the Board’s Examination Controller, B P Tripathi, told PTI.
The fresh entrance test will be held next month, he said, adding the agency which had prepared the question paper has been blacklisted.
Around 20,000 students had appeared in the PMT.
