Girls score over boys in CBSE medical prelims
New Delhi: More girls than boys have cracked the preliminary exam of the all India medical and dental entrance test conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), a CBSE statement said.
The results for All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Preliminary Examination (AIPMT) was declared on Thursday A total of 26,060 students cleared the exam out of 207,590 students who appeared in the exam. While 13,229 girls have cleared the exam, the number of boys is 12,831.
"The result of All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Preliminary Examination, 2011 held on April 3, 2011 (Sunday) has been declared. 26,060 candidates have qualified for appearing in the final stage examination which would be held on May 15," the statement said. IANS
