CHRISTCHURCH – ALABASTER SCHOLARSHIPS 2011 – UNIVERSITY OF CANTERBURY
The University of Canterbury offers over $13.5 million in scholarships and prizes annually to help fund our students study. Eligibility : Two scholarships, tenable for one year, shall be offered for competition every year to students in undergraduate Greek and Latin courses. Candidates for the scholarships will be required to sit a written examination and submit an essay. Candidates may offer either Latin or Greek or both; but a general knowledge of both Greek and Roman history and literature will be required.
Amount : $2,250
Tenure : 1 year

How To Apply : The application form and regulations can be downloaded from within the scholarship description; otherwise, there will be contact details for obtaining an application form. Check carefully that you are eligible to apply, including that your intended degree qualifies. International Students may apply unless the regulations specifically restrict the scholarship to NZ citizen or permanent resident. Commence university/country entry and admission procedures and arrange any academic or language tests required. Ensure that all the information requested is provided by the closing date. You may need to supply a birth certificate, school results, financial information and/or references.
