DIHRM – MAHM / MCPHM ADMISSION 2010 – NEW DELHI

Within this year, an initiative will be taken to incorporate a few components into the two Master’s courses and to develop a synergy between them. In the 1st and 2nd Semester, components will be introduced on diasporic heritage, heritage of Delhi ((India and the World), North east Indian, folk and tribal, design and fashion and intangible heritage (in cultural heritage of India), disaster management, cultural impact assessment, digital management, and gender perspectives in the realm of heritage (under cultural resource management), exposure to rural, adventure, wild life, natural, cultural heritage (in heritage tourism), and on tradition in contemporary Indian arts (in Art of India).

In the 3rd and 4th semester an exposure to new and emerging technologies and approaches, and a stronger emphasis on field work will be provided (in Archaeology, Conservation and Heritage Management).

Eligibility: Graduate (3 years degree course) in any subject of Humanities or Sciences (Those appearing in 3rd year final exam may also apply).
Selection Procedure: For the admission/selection of students advertisements will be placed in various National Newspapers and Employment News on All India basis. The students for Master’s Courses in:
1. Archaeology and Heritage Management
2. Conservation, Preservation and Heritage Management
will be selected on the basis of Written Test, followed by Group Discussion. The Written Test of 3 hour duration is be divided into 4 Sections.

Seats Reservation: Reservation of seats in admission shall be in accordance with the Rules of G.G.S. Indraprastha University as detailed in our prospectus for various categories and 3% for persons with disabilities. Kashmiri migrants etc.

Fee Details:
1. Academic Fee per Semester : Rs. 5100/-
2. Security Deposit (Laboratory and Library) (one time payment at the time of admission refundable): Rs. 3000/-
3. Other University dues per annum : Rs. 8000/-
Total Fee (at the time of admission) : Rs. 16100/-

Date of entrance test : 16.07.2010
Declaration of result: 22.07.2010
Admission formalities: 29.07.2010 – 30.07.2010
Session commences : 02.08.2010

Application Procedure: The prescribed application form specifying the course applied (with the information brochure containing details of eligibility, schedule of test, prescribed courses, etc.) can be had from the Accountant of the Institute on payment of Rs. 150/- in cash or Rs. 175/- in for of Demand Draft in favour of “Delhi Institute of Heritage Research & Management to be sent if by post to “DIHRM” payable on any nationalized bank at Delhi. Downloaded form will be accepted only if it is accompanied with demand draft of Rs. 400/-.
