IMIS – PG DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT ADMISSION 2009 – ORISSA

Institute of Management & Information Science (IMIS) was established with an initiative and support from some of the leading industrial and business houses of Bhubaneswar. It is an autonomous institute with the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E.), Govt. of India, since year 1995. Its prime objective is to educate train and develop students and working professionals in techno-managerial disciplines.

Introduction: The program will have 44 papers to be covered in Six trimesters. After three terms a student is required to undergo summer training for 8 weeks in a designated company arranged by the institute carrying 100 marks. Before the completion of the program a student has to submit a dissertation report on a subject mutually decided by the student and his/her guide carrying 100 marks. During the first year of study, students are exposed to all core subjects underlying the concepts and practices of management in various organizations. In second year of study, students take up elective subjects of two functional areas for specialization.

Eligibility: The minimum qualification for admission into this program is Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. The candidates pursuing final year graduation and expecting their result by August 31,2010 can also apply.
Selection Procedure: The selection will be made on the basis of scores of MAT, conducted by AIMA in December 2009 followed by G.D. & P.I, which will be conducted at Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Guwahati, Raipur, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi and other parts of the country. The date for G.D. & P.I. will be declared later.

How to Apply: A candidate can APPLY ONLINE to IMIS by logging on to http://www.imis.ac.in for registration. Complete instructions for online application are available at this website. Upon completion of the application form an Identification No (ID) will be allotted to the candidate. Please note this ID Number for further correspondence. A candidate can also purchase the application form & Info-bulletin by sending the application fee and the same can be submitted to IMIS by post.

The candidate applying through online or seeking application form by post has to remit Rs.600/ – (Six Hundred) only through a Bank Draft in favor of “IMIS, Bhubaneswar” payable at Bhubaneswar . For online applicant, on receipt of the DD, IMIS will authenticate the payment details and will send a mail to confirm the acceptance of the application form for admission 2010.

Documents Required: Attested photocopies of the following documents and photographs are to be submitted along with the application. The final year graduating students are required to submit the Class X pass certificate and photograph with an undertaking to submit the degree pass mark sheet/certificate by August 31,2010.

* Degree / PG Mark Sheet
* College Leaving Certificate
* Conduct Certificate from the institute last attended
* Recent colored pass port size(10nos.) photographs (To be submitted at the time of admission) (All Original certificates and mark sheets will be verified and the original C.L.C shall be submitted to the Institute at the time of admission).
