APPLABS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM 2010 – ACE

AppLabs Center of Excellence (or ACE) is a rigorous and exclusive 2-month training program where you will be imparted with hands-on experience on SEI CMMI Level 5 assessed software testing processes, tools, technologies and methodologies.The ACE program covers both basic and advanced testing concepts, test case authoring, planning and execution, software test automation planning, automation tool training, scripting and execution. The program also covers MAC testing, UNIX testing, database concepts, advanced Windows/UNIX server concepts. Additionally, you will be trained in interactive soft skills, which include team management and team building exercises, effective communication, etc.

The ACE Lab is loaded with state-of-the-art hardware and software infrastructure enabling real-time learning capabilities. ACE interns will work in tandem with AppLabs testing teams following the completion of their training program. Trained interns will also become eligible to work with their global partners with potential travel opportunities to US/Europe.

Eligibility: Applications are invited from candidates who:
Are interested in pursuing a career in testing and Have a degree (or Masters qualification) in an IT based subject, or who are in the final stages of studying for some such qualification or Are without such qualifications, but instead have experience of working in business sectors such as Banking, Insurance, Financial Services and Government.

Hope and jobs for students at Delhi University's job fair

New Delhi: At a time jobs are becoming scarce and pink slips the order of the day with the global meltdown, there is reason to cheer. Delhi University's newly-launched Central Placement Cell has provided jobs to at least 200 undergraduate students with major companies, including IT major Wipro, pharma giant Ranbaxy and BPO major Genpact. The first phase of recruitment took place between Dec 8 and 10 in which around 154 students got employment. The second phase, which began Jan 21 and ended on Tuesday, ensured jobs to 45 applicants, while 440 short-listed students are awaiting results of their applications. "Around 4,564 students from 48 colleges participated in this job fair in which around 200 students have been ensured good position in top companies. The response of the students was good," Seema M.
