Introduction: The Masters -FM program was launched in 2004 to fulfill the demand for individuals having far superior knowledge about Financial Markets than those coming out of other regular Business Schools. Inspired by such stalwart institutions such as the International Securities Markets Association Center (ISMA) at the University of Reading and the New York Institute of Finance, ITM Institute of Financial Markets has created a technologically advanced, information-rich and knowledge focused environment for the delivery of this program.

Objectives: To develop a new stream of Financial Markets professionals having sound blending of concepts with applications. To expose participants to Financial Markets both in India and abroad. To enable participants to develop a framework for fundamental & technical analysis, to evaluate alternative investment avenues and maximize returns with minimum risks. To give extensive exposure to emerging areas like Equity & Debt, Research, Scientific Asset Allocation Process, Portfolio Hedging & Forex Trading.
Advantages: PGDM: Financial Markets can help prepare for a variety of new work challenges and careers in financial engineering, trading, fund management, back-office and technical support, trading operations management, investment banking, corporate risk management, portfolio analysis and management, bond trading, currency and commodity markets, derivates, futures and options as well as academic research in financial industry & institutions including Exchanges, trading firms, brokerage houses, money management firms, regulators and clearing firms. With the support of a professional, dedicated Placement Cell, students get access to the very best and largest organizations.

Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks and having Tests Scores (CAT, GMAT, XAT, MAT, CET etc.). Students may also write the ITM Entrance Test. 2+ years of work experience in any sector of Financial Markets, is preferred.

Duration: PGDM: Financial Markets program is a full time program divided into seven terms.

Application Procedure: The admission form should be duly filled out in its entirety and must be accompanied with the following supporting documents:
1. Processing fee of Rs. 1000/- in the form of a Demand Draft in favor of “Institute for Technology and Management”, payable at Mumbai.
2. Photocopies of all mark sheets (starting with standard X)
3. Attested copy of your CAT/XAT/GMAT or other Test Score Card.
4. Photocopies of Proof of Work Experience, if any
5. Medical Record Form
6. Acknowledgment Form
7. Six passport photographs

Selection Procedure: Applicants are selected for admission through a process of of short listing and rigorous interviews. The selection criteria for admissions to PGDM: FM is based on multiple factors as follows: Past academic performance / Quality & content of the answers in the application form / Work experience, if any, in terms of job content & organization / Interview performance / Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments / CAT, GMAT, XAT, MAT, CET scores etc. A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be called for interview/group discussion and offered final admission. CAT, GMAT, XAT, MAT, CETscore is NOT the only criteria for selection.
