Introduction: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) offers the Online Post Graduate Diploma in E-Learning (PGDEL) from January 2010 through its Staff Training and Research Institute of Distance Education (STRIDE). The objectives of the programme are to develop human resource capabilities in planning, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating e-learning programmes. The programme consists of five courses with a total credit weight of 24 credits, including a Project Work of eight credits.

Programme Highlights: Blended learning with compulsory face-to-face practical at the Headquarters. Intensive online training to develop e-learning professionals. Strong project work component to facilitate hands on work in online learning tools. Personalized online student support. Use of Open Educational Resources (OERs) and recommended texts.

Duration: 1 year (minimum); 2 years (maximum).
Number of Seats: 50

Eligibility: The eligibility for PGDEL is graduation in any discipline. Preference shall be given to higher degree holders.

Programme Fees: Rs. 15, 000/- (can be paid in two installments of Rs. 8000/- for Semester I, and Rs, 7000/- for Semester II) to be paid at the time of admission. Registration Fee of Rs. 100/- shall be applicable at the time of submission of application.

Last Date of Submission of Application: Friday, November 13, 2009.
