UPSC announces IES, 2008 written result
New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the written part of the Engineering Services Examination, held in June 2008.
Out of total 60654 candidates admitted in the examination, 21753 candidates appeared in the written part of the examination. 1246 candidates have qualified for interview for the personality test. The community wise and discipline wise break up of qualified candidates is as under:-
General 480, Civil Engineering 456, SC 184, Mechanical Engineering 411, ST 104, Electrical Engineering 172, OBC 463, Electronics & Telecom Engineering 207, PH 15.
Interview of candidates who have qualified for the Personality Test are scheduled to be held from April 27, 2009 onwards. The exact date of interview will, however, be intimated to the candidates through Interview Letter. Roll Number wise Interview Schedule will also be available on Commission's website by third week of April, 2009.
The mark-sheets of candidates who have not qualified will be available on the Commission's website within one month from the date of publication of the result and would be available for a period of 60 days.
The candidature of these candidates is provisional, subject to their being found eligible in all respects. Detailed Application Forms (DAF) would be issued to all the qualified candidates shortly. In case the candidates don't receive the DAF by March 15, 2009, they should contact the Commission on Telephone No.23387402 or on Fax No.011-23387310.
