Sixth annual VIT 'Vitality 2009' to commence on March 9

Pune: Around 10,000 engineering students of different colleges from all over the country are estimated to take part in 'Vitality 2009', an annual Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT) tech event, commencing on March 9, 2009.

The event will be organized at VITs' Bibwevadi campus. The event plays an important role in highlighting students engineering skills, explore opportunities for patenting & commercial production and act as a platform to exhibit them.

"This is the sixth annual event of VIT and we have received tremendous response from students and institutions not only from our country but also from the other countries like Indonesia and Singapore which participated in the last years event," said Sarang Gumphekar, secretary for the event.

"The three-day meet comprises of 30 events related to robotics, mechanical, production, industrial, chemical, instrumentation, computers, electronics & telecommunication and electronics branches. Along with a business plan contest and a mock Common Admission Test (CAT)," he added.

A. Shivanthanu Pillai, Defence Research and Development Organizations' Chief Controller of Research and Development will attend the event on March 10 morning, whereas Govind Swarup, noted Scientist will attend the event on March 11.
