Mumbai based college to start counseling sessions for students

Mumbai: Rizvi College of Mumbai is going to start counseling session for students. Parents will also be invited for the counseling session.

Student's problems will be addressed by the medical specialists such as psychiatrists.

"We have been providing counseling to students, if they approach us. Students who have family problems or suffer from depression are counseled by us," said S. G. A. Zaidi, principal of Rizvi College.

"There is a limit to what the teachers can do, parents also have to take care of their wards" added Rizvi.

"We have orientation programmes for newcomers," further said Zaidi.

The first thing to be done in the next academic year is to start counseling sessions for all those who take admissions irrespective of whether they ask for it or not.

The college also plans to start English Language class for students coming from vernacular medium to help them understand the language and also to cope up with other students.
