JNU provides free prospectus to underprivileged

New Delhi: Taking note on a week-long agitation by the Jawaharlal Nehru Students Union (JNUSU) in the campus regarding price hike of prospectus of the University, the administration of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has decided to provide prospectus free of cost to underprivileged students.

Circular on renting out Parthasarathy Rocks (PSR) for commercial use has also been withdrawn by the JNU administration.

"We will refund the prospectus fees to applicants who had already purchased them," said Ram Adhikari Kumar, rector, JNU.

"We have called off the strike on Thursday after an all party meeting. The future courses of action will be decided on Friday's meeting," said a JNUSU representative.
