Academic session of new Sainik School at Rewari from 2009


New Delhi: The academic session of the new Sainik School at Rewari (Haryana) will start from April next year. The Sainik School at Rewari is the second in Haryana.

Giving this information here today, Minister of State for Defence Production, Rao Inderjit Singh said that the admission process will be held from January 4 to March 15, 2009.

Defence Minister A.K. Antony had laid the foundation stone of the Sainik School at village Tappa Gothra Khori in Rewari on August 29, 2008.

"While the construction of the school campus has started, the school will temporarily function from accommodation made available in the Primary School building, Community Hall and the Youth Hostel in Rewari town", said Rao Inderjit Singh.

The Minister said that Col. A. Kaul has been appointed the school's first principal and Lt. Col. Rattan Singh, the headmaster.

"Besides, seven teachers and 15 administrative staff have been deployed from other Sainik Schools to ensure that the new school's first academic session opens on April 1, 2009", he added.
The entrance examination for class sixth boys of Sainik School, Rewari, will be conducted by the Principal, Sainik School, Kunjpura (Karnal).
